- Assign one of your existing pages to display your blog and include it in the Menu.

= Front page slider =

In the front page slider you can feature posts or pages. To add posts or pages to the slider you need to use custom fields. You can enable the custom fields section in the ‘Screen Options’, top right corner when you edit a page or post. Create a new custom field and in the field name enter ‘slider’ in the value area enter ‘yes.
Note that the post or page must have a featured image, it is the featured image that will appear in the slider. Featured image size is 960x480px. You need to have at least two posts featured in the slider for it to work.

The slider comes integrated with some optional custom fields to enable more flexibility. If you want to use an image other than the featured one, you can create a custom field named ‘slideimage’ and in the value area enter the url of the image. Note that the image must be 960x480px.

To have the image link to another section of your website or to an outer link, you can create another custom field named ‘slidelink’ and in the value area enter the url to be linked to.
You can enable the custom fields in the ‘Screen Options’, top right corner when you edit a page or post.

= Front page widget =

In the front page below the slider there is a widget location named ‘Front Widget’. Go to ‘Appearance – Widgets’ and you can add a text widget there. To have a button like in our demo here’s the html code that you can use
<div class=”belowpost”><a class=”btnmore” href=”enter the url here”>Read More</a></div>

= The widget areas =

This theme has three widget ready areas. The RIGHT SIDEBAR is the right bar visible in all pages. The FRONT WIDGET is the widget location in the front page below the slider and the FOOTER WIDGETS, are the widgets in the footer. You can add widgets to each area by going to ’Appearance – Widgets’ in your WordPress administration area and dragging & dropping widgets into each bar. Note that you can add as many widgets as you want to each area.
